Preparation Process

Making cake pops may seem like a daunting task, but with the right preparation and tools, it can be a fun and easy activity. Here is a step-by-step guide to preparing your cake pops:
  1. Crumble your cake: Start by crumbling your cake into small pieces in a large bowl. You can use a stand mixer or a food processor to make this step easier.
  2. Mix in frosting: Add frosting to your cake crumbles and mix until smooth. You can use any frosting flavor that you like. Start with a small amount and add more as needed until your mixture is moist and easy to roll into balls.
  3. Roll cake balls: Roll your cake mixture into perfectly round balls. You can use a cookie scoop or a spoon to make sure they are all the same size. Place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
  4. Chill cake balls: Place the baking sheet with your cake balls in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to chill. This will help them keep their shape when you dip them in candy melts.
  5. Melt candy melts: Melt your candy melts in the microwave according to the package instructions. Be careful not to overheat them, or they may become too thick to dip your cake balls.
  6. Dip cake balls: Insert a cake pop stick into each cake ball and dip it into the melted candy melts. Hold the cake pop over the bowl and let any excess candy drip off.
  7. Decorate cake pops: Once your cake pops are dipped, you can decorate them with sprinkles or other toppings. You can also use a cardboard box or a stand to hold them upright while they dry.
  8. Chill cake pops: Place your finished cake pops in the fridge or freezer to chill until the candy coating is set.
